Local Parking
Consultation

All local residents are being urged to
respond to the public consultation concerning the Draft RBWM
Parking Strategy --- closing date for comments was Monday 22
December 2003 but this has been extended until 5th January 2004.
According to the covering letter accompanying
copies of the consultation document:
"The Royal Borough
recognises that a strategic approach to the management of parking
is fundamental to achieving wider environmental, social and economic
goals, and has therefore formulated a Parking Strategy. This
aims to integrate transport policies, land use policies and business
practices to establish a co-ordinated and consistent parking
structure in the Borough."
Copies of the draft Parking Strategy are
available for inspection at Town Hall and Aston House reception
desks (Maidenhead), York House reception desk (Windsor) and all
Borough Libraries.
